The vivid Jan Thiel Beach
A stone's throw away from Sea Roots Villas, you will directly find one of the most beautiful beaches on Curaçao: Jan Thiel Beach. Within a few minutes walk you will feel the sand between your toes and can take a refreshing dip in the sea. Jan Thiel is a wonderful place to stay, from early in the morning until late at night. Start your day with a fresh coffee and fruit bowl with local fruits at Zanzibar. In the afternoon you settle down on a bed at hotspot Koko’s where you enjoy the ultimate island vibes. Or, of course, completely tuned out for an afternoon nap, while the breaking waves slowly fade into the background.
Around 5 pm you can join Tinto or Zest for a drink or dinner, where you can eat the tastiest local dishes while the sun slowly sets into the sea. When dusk sets in, it doesn't take long for the sky to transform into a clear sky with countless stars.
In addition to Jan Thiel Beach, you can also discover beautiful pieces of nature in the area. The so-called Dog Beach, located in the mangroves, is a rugged piece of pure nature and a wonderful place for hiking. Adjacent to this beach are the Salt Pans of Jan Thiel, where you can take the most beautiful walks. Keep your camera ready, because there is a good chance that you will spot large groups of flamingos here!
