The historical heart of Curaçao

The colonial houses, picturesque streets and colorful ‘Handelskade’ can be found in Punda; the oldest district of Willemstad. You can stroll for hours along the many terraces and shops and don't forget to score some local fruit at the market.

While in Punda, you can relax at Bonchi Café with a cup of coffee. Walk across the Queen Emma Pontoon Bridge to Otrobanda (‘the other bank’). Punda and Otrobanda together form the historic heart of Willemstad.

In Otrobanda you can discover colorful street art by local artists which makes for an ultimate island vibe.

Tip: book a table at De Gouverneur; a true concept in the city where gigantic ships pass you by and you look straight out on the atmospheric Handelskade. Or get some delicious local dishes at the food market of Bario Urban Street Food.

On your way back to the villa you can choose from all kinds of cozy eateries in the Pieter Maai district where you can dine until late.
