Idyllic bays and remote beaches

Curaçao is known for its white sandy beaches and bright blue sea. From busy tourist beaches to undiscovered coves wedged between rock walls. Playa Piskado, also called Playa Grandi or 'the Fisherman's Beach', is highly recommended for spotting sea turtles with your own snorkel. Playa Porto Marie is known for their cute pot-bellied pigs who also relax on the beach. And at Cas Abao Beach, the water is so clear and the sand so white that it is almost blinded in the sun. It is one of the few places where it is even more beautiful in real life than on a postcard.

In the bay of Santa Cruz you will also find untouched, raw nature where you can relax with a good book. For those who like to mingle with the locals, Daai Booi is a cozy beach where the Curaçaoans settle down in large numbers during the weekend, armed with their own barbecue, folding chair and cool box. Fun fact: this is the place where you can score some real Dutch fries with mayo!
